Momo Couture boss, Fati Asibelua has widen her tentacles. The celebrated couturier will launch her new international luxury label, Asibelua to the world fashion community at the IMG Mercedes Benz, New York Fashion Week, on Thursday September 15, 2011, and will then travel to Paris to exhibit at Me My Mode from September 30, 2011 to October 3, 2011. The new label, Asibelua is intended to put African fashion on the world stage permanently. The label is described by the experts in fashion industry as a signature luxury with distinctive African style and at the same time has international market appeal.
Having appeared in Vogue UK and with a strong presence in Europe, it appears Asibelua is armed to the teeth to take over the fashion market in Europe and America.
Fati Asibelua mixes traditional African patterns with modern shapes, creating a fusion of African culture with contemporary style. Her background abroad with her African influence provides Fati a fresh global view of fashion.
