BEBEIA BONIFACE EMERGES AS MR. TOURISM NIGERIA 2011

Saturday November 26th will forever remain a marked day in the calendar of so many people in the nation’s City of Paradise, Calabar in Nigeria
It was the very first time the city had stayed for an event lasting over 3hours into the wee hours of the morning. Mr. Tourism Nigeria even before its debut became one of the most anticipated event around the whole of South-South and Nigeria as a whole.
And on the D-day, it was Aspiring model, Bebia Boniface who became the cynosure of all eyes when he beat 18 other smart and talented young men to win the Mr. Tourism Nigeria prize. The excited winner of the first edition of the search says not even in his widest dreams did he ever imagine that fate could smile on him the way it did, especially, for a contest that has some of the most desirable men a male contest had ever produced all over Nigeria.
“I am proud of my accomplishment because I know it would take me on to greater heights. I will like to move on and win Mr Tourism Planet come next year when the event holds in Greece”, he said.
The keenly contested finale which held at the Five Two Zero Events Centre in Calabar started with rounds in traditional wear, swim wear, talent hunt, evening wear after which the contestants were reduced to the first Top 10. This followed with the ‘game changer’ where the top 10 were saddled with impressing the judges that beyond the charm and charisma, they also have a matching brain. At the end of that stage, 5 people were eliminated until it was left with the last five men standing for the ultimate question. Based on the answer to the question and performance in the previous rounds, the judges adjudged Bebia Boniface as the most capable. He was followed by Bandele Adebule who became the first runner up.
As winner of Mr. Tourism Nigeria 2011, Bebia Boniface has won a brand new car, he also gets to start his own pet project as well as represent Nigeria at the Mr. Tourism Planet finals. He will also be dressed by Kholyns Contemporary Couture for one year; the runner-up also won a year’s contract with Ques Models, a trip to represent Nigeria at the upcoming Mr. Tourism Quest in Guatemala.
Some other finalists won awards including ‘Mr. Tourism Nigeria North’ for Inyang Peter Francis, who also came top as winner of the ‘Mr Body Perfect’ . ‘Mr Tourism South West’ went to Femi Adekanye, ‘Mr Tourism South East’ to Benard Amaechi , ‘Mr. Tourism South South and ‘Mr Photogenic’’ for Steven,. ‘Mr Popularity’ went to Rico Olijeme, ‘Mr Talent’ went to Inyang Peter Francis again’.
