NEW KID ON THE BLOCK

“When it comes to rap music,
the Nigerian music industry have very few talented rappers. We came across
music from a new rapper called ‘Monemsis’. Seeing him perform at the famous
Jimmy’s Jump Off in 2010, I knew instantly that this freestyle was something to
look out for, and recently his singles came out.

Monemsis was born and raised in Benin
where he has been living all his life until recently when he decided to move to
Lagos in order to push his career
further. He has always had a flare and passion for rap music and has in the
past been a member of 2 different groups with the hope of finally making it in
the music industry until he finally decided to do it on his own, he says that
has been one of the best decisions he has made.

Monemsis is a very versatile rapper who can blend into any genre of music, his
sound is pure and undiluted. He writes his own music and always makes sure that
all the songs he writes have a clear message and meaning for all to hear. When
asked who his main influences are, he mentioned Lil Wayne, Drake, M.I,
Ludacris, Rick Ross and Sizzla.

Monemsis is currently signed to Top Notch Entertainment whose head office is
based in Canada
and managed by Chup Knucklez Entertainment.

He believes with enough perseverance he can become a legend by working hard and
becoming a recognised figure in the Hip hop industry.

The new kid on the block, Monemsis, is definetly something to look out for. Raw
and pure talent is what the industry needs and it has found one.”
