 Nollywood actress   Funke Akindele
on Saturday
May 26, 2012 tied the knot with her
sweetheart Kenny Almaroof .
The event was packed with lots of Nollywood stars Genevieve
Nnaji, Ini Edo, Sikiratu Sindodo, Desmond Elliot amongst others.
Funke’s wedding was in three phases, private Nikkai ceremony
followed by a little white wedding and the reception which had Dj Spinall and
the shuga band.
Funke giving her vote of thanks said ‘My darling
colleagues and friends I thank you so much for coming out. You are single today
right? Believe in God, he will do it because I’m a testimony. It’s a big
surprise I know to you all and I thank God for this. I won’t throw this, I will
share it‘.

ABOUT FUNKE
She is an actress of repute in the Nigerian movie industry
and one of the influential faces in that industry. She was noticed some years
ago on the popular youth sitcom “I Need To Know”. She is the toast of several
corporate clients as she is a brand ambassador of telecom giant Globacom,
detergent company So Klin, Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) and
other brands. She has produced blockbuster hits like Omo Ghetto parts 1 &
2, Ojo Ketala and The Return of Jenifa.
ABOUT OLOYEDE
Mr Kenny Almaroof Oloyede popularly known as Kenny Doo is a
property Developer and a politician. He once contested for the position of
Local Government Chairman and membership of the House of Representatives in two
different elections on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). He later
became the Special Assistant to former Minister of Works, Adeseye Ogunlewe.
After serving out his appointment, he returned to Lagos
to focus on his property business and he is now a card carrying member of CN.
HOW THEY MET
Fate played a major role in how Funke and Kenny met.
According to what bebeakinboade.blogspot.com gathered, the lovebirds would not
have met if a colleague of Funke didn’t try pulling some funny strings which
unconsciously brought them together. Apparently, a colleague of Funke pretended
to be her, she got talking to Kenny Oloyede 
and the conversations got very deep. Kenny then asked to meet the ‘fake’
 Funke Akindele.
Coincidentally, she invited Kenny over on a day Funke was to
be on set, this colleague of hers too was there.  When she sensed she couldn’t go on with her prank  again, she confessed to Funke Akindele
begging her profusely and told Funke to handle it for her which she refused at
first but later agreed to. One thing led to another after then, they moved into
greater things only for Kenny to resurface again.
LIFE AFTER WEDDING
Funke will continue to act and produce her movies, the two
will move into their Lekki home and she will also be prepared for the role of a
mother and a wife.
