President
Muhammadu Buhari has dissolved the board of the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC), with immediate effect. The President’s decision was made
known in a letter addressed to the board dated June 26, 2015, and signed by the
Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mr. Danladi Kifasi.

casualties include the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the corporation and all
Executive Directors in the state owned oil company that has been hit by several
allegations of corruption and mismanagement.
