FIFA SACKS SECRETARY GENERAL JEROME VALCKE
FIFA, the world football governing body, on Wednesday sacked its Secretary General Jerome Valcke, with immediate effect.This was announced in a statement by FIFA, in Berlin, which revealed that Markus Kattner, the acting secretary general, would continue in place of Valcke.
Valcke’s suspension was part of the ongoing investigations into the corruption scandals which plagued the organisation throughout 2015.
