NEW YEAR, NEW START! HOW TO ACCOMPLISH YOUR NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS

Spread the love
New Year’s resolutions are goals or promises that people make for the New Year holiday to try to make their upcoming year better in some way. Making resolutions is a popular holiday tradition, but keeping those resolutions past the first week in January is the hard part. Many people sometimes find it difficult to maintain and accomplish their resolutions. Bebeakinboade.com presents to you a list of things you can do to help make sure you accomplish the goals you set for the New Year.

KEEP RESOLUTIONS TOP OF MIND ALL YEAR
Keep a board with your goals for the year and look at it every day. Also put key milestone dates in calendar to track your progress. Having your goals  in front of you and then leveraging technology to remind you is key to accomplishing goals.

MAKE IT INTO A DAILY HABIT
Keeping a resolution means making it a habit; do the activity every day. After a week or two, it will naturally become part of your day-to-day schedule.

DON’T MAKE RESOLUTIONS ABOUT THINGS THEY “SHOULD” DO
Forget making a resolution because it seems like the right thing to do. Your resolution should be something you are passionate about, otherwise you will lose interest.

MAKE SURE OTHERS WILL HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE.
Inform your coworkers, family, and friends about your resolution if you know its going to be difficult to stick to. You are much more likely to stick to your game plan if you have  to answer to other people.

ATTACH A NUMBER TO RESOLUTIONS
Dont  just state your resolutions, make them concrete by making them quantifiable.

KEEP A JOURNAL TO TRACK PROGRESS
Keep your resolutions on track by writing in a daily journal. Entries are short and to the point, but it is an accounting for what you’ve really gotten done during the year.
