STUDENTS  ON THE RUNWAY SET TO HOLD IN AUGUST

The highly-anticipated program targeted at showcasing students and their talents is here again. Now in the third edition, ‘Students On The Runway’ packaged by Temitope Oduyemi-owned Wise-Plus Concepts, has been taken to the next level. The maiden edition was held on 14th March 2015 at the University of Lagos, second edition was on August 21st 2015 at University of Lagos. 

The third edition, which is aimed at empowering youths through scholarship/free training for students in fashion, beauty/make-up, as well as bead making, comes up on Friday, 5th August 2016 at Education Auditorium, Unilag by 3pm.    

 The “Students On The Runway” concept was initiated to initially cater for students in tertiary institutions with passion for arts, but has now been modified to cater for all students by inculcating activities that will enhance productivity and empower them for self-reliance. As part of the program of events, there will be a Fashion Runway showcasing designs from top-notch designers in the country with students on the campus as runway models.  

The event is bi-annual and takes place in different campuses in different States in a particular year. This year’s event, in its third edition, will be taking place at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos, with the endorsement of the School’s Student Union Government. 

Sponsors who have come on board include Lego Drink, Subvenir Limited, Kenny Flex, Basehead  and Sona Agro Allied Foods Limited. 

Top fashion designers who have shown interest in participating at the event include, Apex Clothings owned by Mayowa Adejare, Hayiloran Vogue, Zenith Sports, Maygida Couture, Habbey Stitches, TIS Clothings, Sholy Kay’s World. Refreshment will be from OBX finger Foods

Bead-Making and Jewellery will be from Styles by Seannys while Happy Day will handle the hall decoration.
