EMMANUEL OKORO, LIFE AFTER DESIGNING THERESA MAY’S JACKET

Emmanuel is a fast rising fashion designer and the creative director of Emmy Kasbit. Couple of months ago, he designed Theresa May’s jacket, a contract that was given to him 48 hours before her arrival.
Theresa May also shared a photo of meeting Okoro on her Instagram page. She captioned it: “I was delighted to meet @emmykasbit who designed the jacket I wore in #Nigeria #UKAfrica#MadeInNigeria”.

For obvious reason, his life has not remained the same after this experience, his phone has never stopped ringing and his fan base has increased tremendous on all his social media platforms with thousands
of followers following his page.

27-year-old Emmanuel started his fashion brand in 2013 , but came to limelight in 2014 when he released his collection  “The Definition” in 2014 which showed the world a whole new creative side to Emmanuel Okoro. Since then, the brand has grown immensely boasting of a strong clientele and showcasing at some of the biggest fashion shows in Africa.Emmy Kasbit showcased at the South African Menswear Fashion Week in 2016 and 2017, he was also featured at number 8th on the BlackNBold Young Designers list of 2016, emerged as one of the top 5 finalists for Lagos Fashion & Design Week Fashion Focus 2017 and had a great showcase at the fashion week.

His collection shown at the HLFDW 2017 runway was one of the most vibrant and innovative uses of traditional Igbo fabric Akwete which catapulted him right into the circle of champions.

His list of famous clientele includes Denola Grey, Munachi Abi, Omotola
Jalade-Ekeinde, Flavour, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Beverly Naya, Denola Grey, Zinkata, Lola Oj, Uti Nwachukwu, Jon Ogah, Yemi Alade and many more.
