MEET PRESIDENT BUHARI’S NEW CHIEF OF STAFF – PROF IBRAHIM GAMBARI
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, former United Nations Under-Secretary-General, as his new Chief of Staff.
Gambari, from Kwara State, served as the Minister of External Affairs from 1984 to 1985. A professor of repute and a global citizen, the 78-year-old replaces the late Abba Kyari, former chief of staff who died of COVID-19.
Prof. Ibrahim Gambari served honourably between 1999 and 2005 in the United Nations as Under-Secretary-General and Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Africa.
He is a global citizen whose scholarly works are known locally as well as internationally. He is the Kwara State University first Chancellor.
