MEDIA PERSONALITY, TOLU MEDUNA LAUNCHED A NEW BOOK – ESCAPE MENTAL TORTURE
On Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Lamango Restaurant, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, it was a glamorous and dazzling evening as Media Personality, Tolu Meduna, released her book, Escape Mental Torture to the public.
Many dignitaries, including traditional rulers, attended the event, which also happened to be her 40th birthday. Notable guests include distinguished Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, who represents Ekiti Central in the National Assembly’s upper chamber; Hon Moruf Akinderu – Fatai, Lagos State Commissioner for Housing; HRM Oba Oyelude Makama Tagbosun 11, the Olowu of Kuta; Oba Abioye Nureni Oyewale, the Olubode of Bode Osi, among others.

The story of sexual abuse/molestation is told in Escape Mental Torture. The book critic, Dr. Okonkwo, went on to describe the book as a memoir or the author’s experience, which serves as an encouragement to anyone with a similar life narrative that there is hope at the end of the tunnel.
Senator Bamidele, in his remarks, described the book as a “wake-up call” about the dangers of sexual assault and molestation. He also took the opportunity to praise the author’s tenacity, courage, and can-do attitude.
Tolu Meduna described the book as a victory for womanhood in her speech, inviting women who have been victims of both physical and emotional abuse to join her in educating society about this threat.
