OBAMA’S POST-PRESIDENCY PLAN!
For those of us who were hoping Obama would stick around in the public sphere after he leaves the White House in January, it seems the 44th president wants to take a much-deserved break from politics instead.
In an exclusive interview with Trevor Noah on Monday night’s Daily Show, he revealed his post presidency plan plus others.
“I think it’s important for me to recharge. It’s important for me to reflect. It’s important for me to get back in my wife’s good graces,” he said with a laugh. “And take a decent vacation and spend some time with her.” He also mentioned he would be doing some writing and speaking, and that he would be paying close attention to the incoming administration as a citizen.
For instance, if the Trump administration were to enact a Muslim registration or start rounding up Dream Act kids, “I might have to say something about that,” Obama added. “But it’s not my intention to be the old guy at the bar who’s hanging on.”
So good news for the First Lady, bad news for the rest of us who will sorely miss him when he’s gone.
