AKWA IBOM STATE PARTNERS MISS INTERGLOBAL NIGERIA 2012 PAGEANT.
According to the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Communication, it is hoped the pageant platform which celebrates the beauty and essence of the Nigerian woman, is a welcome development in Land of Promise. This prestigious event will have all the frills and trappings of a world class event. Guests expected include former and current beauty queens, including reigning Miss Global International, Miss Yansy of Puerto Rico, government officials at state and federal levels, and relevant states and federal agencies concerned with Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Human Trafficking. Others will include officials of relevant NGOs, fashion designers and icons; celebrities from film, music and sports who will all grace the Red Carpets and Main Events. The event will expectedly be filmed live for television audiences and streamed on the event website, so it can be watched by millions of fans worldwide.
According to the Organizers, the event will begin with Auditions from 2nd to 5th May with finalists for the Preliminary Competition stage on 18th May at Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort). Miss Interglobal Nigeria 2012 participation entry is online:www.mign.com.ng.
The 16 are finalists expected from that event who would participate in the Grand Finale on May 19, 2012 at the breath taking Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The Miss Interglobal Nigeria 2012 Queen will be spokesperson and strong advocate in the crusade to reduce Maternal Mortality; Teenage Pregnancy and Sexual Exploitation of young Nigerian through community education at local council levels, channeling help through NGOs, health clinics and push for legislation against these ills; as well as promote tourism spots and sponsoring brands.
