GBENGA ADEYINKA’S LAFFMATTAZ SHOW HOLDS IN IBADAN

Comedian of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Gbenga Adeyinka 1st, has concluded plans to host friends in the entertainment industry to a lavish and classy event tagged, Laffmattaz with Gbenga Adeyinka and Friends.

This time, the very indigenous comedian, is putting final touches to the hosting of his annual comedy festival, Gbenga Adeyinka & Friends. The fun packed event is in partnership with Enzymes Communications.

Already, the city of Ibadan is agog with activities as billboards and banners decorate the streets of Ibadan.

Adeyinka had this to say when asked about his reasons for staging the show in Ibadan and why there was a hiatus in the annual show.

“I just felt that we had to do some other things. We have done two editions of Laffmattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka and Friends, the show would have top acts like Ali Baba, Ruggedman, 9ice, Olamide, Owen Gee, Tee A, Omobaba, Konga, Wale Waves, Jay Ru, Essence, Jaywon, Goldie, Capital FEMI, Gordons and Gandoki amidst several other acts” he stated.

On his reason for moving top of the cream acts to Ibadan, he said, ” Its payback time for me. I spent some part of my years in Ibadan. Funny enough, while I was growing up in Ibadan, I used to watch the likes of Baba Sala, Baba Mero, Ajimajashan and this influenced my incursion into the world of entertainment. What I’m going to do in Ibadan is actually a missionary effort, because for me, Ibadan is lagging behind in comedy and I feel the city is legendary, so let’s build something round the South West again.”

Gbenga Adeyinka, who is noted for his indigenous delivery of jokes said that his show, coming up on August 21 at Jogor Centre, would shake the city of Ibadan to its root as well as entertainment scene. Some of the dignitaries expected are Yinka Aiyefele and the first lady of Oyo State, Mrs Florence Ajimobi
