With specialty in wedding makeup, photo & fashion makeup, artistic, editorial, TV & film, beautifying and celebrities, in this interview with BOLA AKINBOADE, Tayo opens up on why she dumped her managerial work for her makeup business.

Why did you decide to go into makeup?
I decided to go fully into makeup because of the difference I believe I can create in the makeup industry by helping and encouraging other young people to be more creative and self empowered. Most of all, it’s what I enjoy doing and derive pleasure in, so I give it my best.

What is Morewa Makeover all about?
Morewa makeover is all about enhancing looks, most especially for different occasions to pass a positive message across to people. Morewa makeover is out to bring out the beauty in every face we work with by proper application of makeup and skincare products.

How long have you been in business?
I started making people up from my school days but professionally I’ve been in it for like seven months

So where were you trained?
I trained with L’enor makeup school here in Lagos.

What’s your area of specialty?
I’m more into bridals basically because that comes up every time, but I also do make ups such as fashion, photography, videography and corrective makeup.

What makes you different from other makeup artists?
I have received a lot of commendation on the work that I do on makeup but more on the way I shape the eyebrows of most of my clients.

What do you set to achieve in the makeup industry?
To get my work to the peak where the name Morewa becomes a force to be reckoned with; when the word beauty is mentioned, the name Morewa comes to the mind. And to bring makeup to a point where looking good becomes everyone’s innate passion.

Prior to your makeup business, what were you doing?
I worked as an internal audit officer at an assurance company; then later as a manager at a manufacturing company.

How has the experience been so far?
Making up has been very interesting for me because of the passion I have for it. And when challenges come up, relenting has never been an option for me because of the pleasures I derive in beautifying faces and the beauty of the art involved.
