HOW TO REMOVE FABRIC STAINS WITH HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

Spread the love
Hydrogen peroxide isn’t just for first aid purposes; it’s also a
crazy good stain remover! It is commonly
used as a stain remover, similar to bleach, to take out color and sanitize
surfaces.  It can whiten and disinfect with a milder chemical
structure than bleach. It can remove virtually any
stain from any fabric in minutes when mixed with another common household
staple: dish liquid.

 Hydrogen peroxide’s chemical
formation is two atoms of hydrogen and two atoms of oxygen  (basically
water with an extra oxygen atom) which breaks down into water and is therefore
a kinder alternative for the environment.
LAUNDRY STAINS
The basic laundry
stain recipe is a mixture of dish liquid soap and hydrogen peroxide.  You
use these two ingredients in a ratio of 1 part liquid soap to 2 parts
peroxide.
Step
1: Make the stain remover.
Step 2: Gently
blot the stain with a clean cloth. Do not rub the
stain or it could spread.
Step 3:
Pour the stain remover onto the stain. Work the
solution into the stain using your fingers if needed. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Step
4: Wash according to care instructions. After 10
minutes, the stain will mostly be gone. If there is still any showing, it
should disappear in the wash.
